Together RASRA MAI is a timeless echo of a mother’s love, softly stitched into every piece. It’s a story woven through generations, beginning with childhood memories that have stayed stitched into our hearts.

As a child, we watched our mothers sit by the window for hours, comfortable cushion beneath them, the sun gently lighting their hands as they moved gracefully across fabric. Hand embroidery wasn’t just a craft—it was their meditation, their love language. They embroidered everything—from our frocks and bedsheets to sarees and scraps of cloth—with an unmatched tenderness. Each piece held a story, a feeling, a memory.

Though time moved on, those scenes never truly faded. In fact, they returned—vivid and alive—as the seed for RASRA MAI. A brand born from remembrance, from a desire to keep their art and spirit breathing in the world.

Together, Shanoli and Radhika, co-founders and friends, are trying to bring RASRA MAI to life with their shared passion, creative skills, and love for hand embroidery. We are not only building a homegrown label, but also a heartfelt mission to preserve and celebrate the soul of hand embroidery.
